In response to the recent actions taken by the Hong Kong health authorities we want to reassure our customer base that we are taking this event seriously and have launched an in-depth investigation to determine how this product may have been exposed to DEHP (phthalate) in transit or during packaging.  To date, we have had an outside contract lab conduct tests on 8 different softgel products, none of which were found to contain any phthalates (including DEHP).  We do not utilize any DEHP in our manufacturing process, and based on our 3rd party laboratory's test results, remain confident that soft gelatin capsules manufactured by Captek do not contain phthalates when they leave our shipping dock.  Obviously, we cannot control what they might be exposed to either in transit to Asia or when they are packed in their final packaging assembly. 

We will continue to stand behind our product quality and support our customers in every way possible and want reiterate that none of the retained samples of Captek manufactured products we have tested contain DEHP or other phthalates. 

Captek Softgel International has built our reputation on our ability to manufacture softgels to highest quality standards in the world and we will investigate this tirelessly to determine the root cause although we believe this to be a shipping or packaging issue at this time.
